Pastor Anne has served the Church in a variety of roles, both as a lay person and since ordination; at the local, regional, and national levels. She has enjoyed work with altar guilds, congregational development, campus ministry, Christian education, and leading workshops on visioning and social ministry.  As a long time Sunday School teacher and certified Godly Play storyteller Pastor Anne developed a series of Vacation Bible School programs built around stories from Godly Play including The Parables of Jesus: Out of the Box and God’s Creation and the Great Family.

When Anne and her twin sister were 14 their family moved from the Chicago area to rural southern Missouri. She has been married to the Rev. Michael Kyle for 9 years. They rejoice in a blended family of 3 grown children and now, 3 grandchildren. She enjoyed a long career in nursing, spent a dozen years as a leader in the Boy Scouts and is a proud Eagle mom. The Kyles live close to their favorite state park – The Katy Trail and enjoy riding bikes.

Meet the Secretary

Our parish secretary, Kay Strouse, has been with our church since 2010.  She prepares our weekly bulletins, maintains the church calendar, and puts together the monthly newsletter.  She enjoys visiting with the members who stop by.

Kay has lived in Sedalia since 1988 and has been a busy stay-at-home mom for much of that time, raising four children.  She also works part-time at her husband’s chiropractic office.

In her spare time, Kay enjoys walking, biking, gardening, and crafting.  She is an active member of Bethany Baptist Church and sings with Sedalia Chorale.
